You know originally, the term Colophon comes from the print industry. I suppose it’s charming in a way. Carrying something from the print world over here. Romantic. Plus it sounds better than ‘About‘. But that isn’t the point, is it?

My name is Koray Ataman. I am currently a full time student, but I dabble in design and programming. And whatever else seems to interest me at the moment. I write about the Web mostly. I know it’s all very cliche, but I hope that if I put enough perspective on it.. enough of my personality, it becomes something that people enjoy reading. Sometimes even the most mundane things can be wonderful to read if the person putting the words down has a sense of humor. Don’t get me wrong, not all of my content is reblogging. I write about technology, design (both on and offline, hmph!), life, and pretty much anything that strikes my fancy. Because that is what Blogging is about right?

The blog was started in mid 2005, after many a rebirth as a place for me to ramble. Shortly after it was accepted into the 9rules Network. Not much of a history. But hey, this is a relatively new blog. What do you want?

Anyways, I know after people write a short blurb about themselves (that never really ends up being about them, just what they like to show off) they go into a number of different things. The most popular being standards. Does anyone even check validity links? I mean I know I do but hey, I’m weird.

In any case, most of this site is Valid XHTML. The CSS is entirely valid, except for a couple lines that needed to be invalidated to compensate for MSIE. It’s not like I should be worrying about IE users. They deserve it. But I am a nice guy. So hey, what the hell.

What else? Oh contacts. Well I have never been a fan of putting lots of things on one page. So instead I string them across lots of pages to make you work. If you need to contact me, everything you could ever want is at the contact page. Don’t feel like clicking? My email is koray%koray.ws. Replace % with @, Duh. I suppose that’s that.
